around the world. We are seeking a highly motivated Maritime Technical Director to join our team
and serve as the technical leader for maritime protection solutions, supporting customer programs
from concept through field integration.
The Maritime Technical Director partners with the Maritime team to drive business growth, expand
market opportunities, and deliver customer-focused ballistic protection solutions. This role
combines technical expertise, customer engagement, and business development to support new
and existing maritime programs. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and
supply chain teams, this person will develop innovative solutions, support product development
initiatives, and ensure successful integration of protective systems onto maritime platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for maritime protection solutions from early customer
engagement and concept development through design, installation, test, and field support. - Lead integration of protective solutions onto new-build and in-service maritime platforms,
accounting for vessel structure, arrangements, access, maintainability, producibility, and
installation constraints. - Work closely with internal design, manufacturing, and business development teams to
turn threat requirements into practical maritime protection concepts. - Translate maritime platform requirements into technical solution sets that align with vessel
mission, operating environment, and shipyard realities. - Interface directly with shipbuilders, boatbuilders, naval architects, program offices, prime
contractors, and end users on technical scope, integration approach, and design. - Review and help develop installation concepts, mounting approaches, drawings, models,
technical packages, and integration procedures for maritime application - Spearhead and coordinate program opportunities into designs, quotes and successful
integrations.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or closely related discipline.
- Significant experience in shipbuilding, boatbuilding, naval architecture, shipyard engineering, marine
systems integration, or maritime platform development. - Working knowledge of maritime standards, rules, and regulatory frameworks relevant to vessel
design and modification. - Demonstrated experience integrating equipment, structures, mission systems, or other technical
solutions onto maritime platforms. Experience with aluminum, steel, and composite marine
structure - Strong understanding of maritime design and integration principles, including platform arrangements, structural interfaces, installation sequencing, and lifecycle support considerations.
- Familiarity with naval, patrol, expeditionary, special operations, law enforcement, or high-speedcraft applications.
- Familiarity with shock, vibration, corrosion, and harsh-environment design considerations for maritime systems.
