Vigor Industrial is the leading provider of shipbuilding, ship repair and other industrial services in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. We build ferries, barges and tugs. Repair U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and U.S. Coast Guard icebreakers. Modernize fishing and cargo vessels, workboats and more. We apply specialty finishes and build alternate energy platforms.
Our companies share a common goal: providing world-class maritime and industrial services to build jobs, build and repair ships, and to build and strengthen the communities where we live and work.
Our legacy dates back a century with historic shipyards like Todd Pacific, Kaiser and Cascade General.
Our subsidiaries and our 2,000 workers are specialists: new construction and large-scale metalworking at US Fab; commercial ship repair at Vigor Marine; U.S. Navy and Coast Guard program with Vigor Shipyards; topside teams from Washington Marine Repair; Alaska Ship & Drydock who does it all, shipbuilding and repair; Specialty Finishes for blasting and coating.

Company History
Vigor Industrial today is a privately owned group of companies providing leading, specialized maritime and industrial services across the Pacific Northwest.
The seeds allowing us to grow were first planted across the twentieth century:
1916: Todd Pacific Shipyards takes over a Seattle shipyard, expanding two years later to Harbor Island, to serve commercial and military markets. Vigor Industrial acquires Todd Pacific in 2011.
1942: Industrialist Henry Kaiser opens the Swan Island yard in Portland to support vessels for Allied WWII efforts, assembling tankers at an astonishing rate of one every four-and-a-half days. The Port of Portland ran the facility as a public yard for nearly 50 years; Vigor Industrial purchased the 60-acre yard outright in 2000.
1947: Fisherman's Boat Shop launches in central Puget Sound in Everett to support the post-war boom in Pacific Northwest maritime industries. The facility expanded as Everett Shipyard to serve a wider range of vessels including U.S. Navy, Coast Guard and Washington State Ferries. It became part of Todd Pacific in 2008, and was acquired along with the Harbor Island facilities by Vigor in 2011.
1995: Frank Foti purchases Cascade General from an investment company and later names the parent company Vigor Industrial to signify strength and forward movement.
That strength and forward movement continue today.
