Pacific Power Group in Kent, Washington is looking for a self motivated and qualified individual to join our sales team as a Sr. Marine Business Development Manager for our Marine division.

In this role you will be instrumental in driving our business growth on the U.S. West Coast and Gulf Coast. You must have the ability to attract new business, research market opportunities and participate in growth projects. If this sounds like you, we may have a spot for you in our company!

The person in this role has the ability to work remotely, preferably on the U.S. West Coast or Gulf Coast region.

What you will do:

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Project Management and executive management to define market and customer opportunities and grow sales revenues
  • Develop new accounts and maintain existing accounts by establishing a personal working relationship with key decision makers and influencers based on value, knowledge, trust and character
  • Build, deepen and maintain high level contacts with current and prospective business partners to increase market penetration and brand recognition
  • Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of national and local market, client, and technology trends and advancements
  • Remain up to date on marine propulsion technologies, vessel designs and other aspects of the marine industry along with key Pacific Power Group suppliers: MTU, Volvo Penta and Yanmar High Speed Commercial product offerings
  • Maintain and add industry contacts and companies in CRM tool
  • Attend industry events, follow/research industry trends and communicate back to the Pacific Power Group team
  • Prepare and present formal presentations to customers


What we need from you:

  • A passion and interest in combustion engines, and/or the marine business
  • Strong learning capacity- ability to quickly acquire knowledge of Pacific Power Group products, services, and applications
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter able to communicate effectively with all levels of customers and coworkers
  • Excellent oral and written skill
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple accounts at one time
  • Tenacious drive for results within a solutions mindset that seeks to deeply understand the customer and customer needs and apply innovative thinking to solve problems and capture opportunities
  • Ability to travel  up to 50%

Experience/ Education Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B sales
  • Marine industry experience 
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and other Windows based PC tools
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or equivalent maritime experience preferred but not required.
